Luke 9:29 - 'And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering'. I believe this happened to Jesus several times; but this was one occasion that the disciples had the opportunity to be there and to watch and see what was happening. They realize this happens to him a lot of time; their eyes that were opened to see, because the Bible tells us shortly after that, that Elijah and Moses appeared - so they got to see the Glory.
That's what happens when you pray in the Holy Ghost, you are transfigured. This is why God wants us to pray in the spirits because every time you pray in the spirit, you become transformed! .
