And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians3:19).
Real and authentic Christianity is being filled with the fullness of God. Apart from His extraordinary birth, what made Jesus different from every other prophet that came before Him was the Holy Spirit in Him; that made Him the Christ.
John 3:34 “For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.”
The prophets were all given the Spirit by measure. For instance, the Bible tells us about Joshua: “And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him…” (Deuteronomy 34:9). Moses did that because God asked him to lay his hands on Joshua.
However, in the case of Jesus, He was filled with God. He didn’t just have the Spirit of wisdom, He was wisdom personified. The man, Christ Jesus, was filled with the fullness of God, letting us know that we can also be filled with the fullness of God, for as He is, so are we in this world.
