Laboring together with the Lord

November 26, 2018 / Holy Spirit

When Jesus ask His disciples whom do men say I am? Some say you are john the baptize other say you are Elijah one of the prophets, then He said who do you say I am? They weren’t so sure, only Peter looked around and said I know, You are the Christ the Son of the Living God.

Jesus response was, Simon, flesh and blood didn’t reveal this to you; it was my father. You see He had to tell Peter, Peter didn’t know that it was God who revealed it to Him, Peter didn’t even know it was a revelation. Jesus had to tell him, and how did the father reveal that to him? It was through the Holy Spirit

You need to understand that the gospel that we have been given, that we have been charged with to take to the nations of the world is a gospel that cannot be humanly accepted. So don’t be surprise if they don’t listen to you. There is no way for an ordinary man to accept it, so we need help from God; because we had to be helped to accept it, others must be helped to accept it.

Psalm 127:1 “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it; except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain”. If you are trying to build the church for God, to build the ministry for God, you are wasting your time. It’s not going to work except the lord does it. Jesus said I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

He didn’t say come let’s build the church together; did He say that? No! did He say help me build my church? No! He said I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. If you build it, the gates of hell will prevail against it, but if He build’s it, the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The Holy Spirit is God, the Holy Spirit is the voice of God, the Holy Spirit is the extension of God the Holy Spirit is God at work; that who the Holy Spirit is.
