How To Attain Greatness

There are many ways to achieve Greatness. The first way is, ‘to hear the cry of the needy’. You never journey in life in the path of greatness until you first learn to hear the cry of the needy; the cry of their pain, the cry of their sorrow, the cry of their poverty. When you learn that, things will begin to change for your favour. Secondly, ‘be decided’. There are important choices to be made in life, but I tell you among the so many important choices to be made, there are cardinal choices. The scriptures in Hebrews 11:24 says, “by faith…”. You see, it has got to be by faith. Your choice has to be by faith. Sometimes when you make a choice people may say how could you have made such a choice, such a stupid, foolish choice? They are looking at other things but you are looking at faith.

The third way to achieve greatness is to ‘see the invisible’. Once you are cut off from every weight and the sin that so easily besets you, you are ready. You are ready to see the invisible. It is called the invisible because you cannot see it with the optical eyes. It’s the invisible Glory. Hebrews 11:24-26 tells us that “ By faith Moses when he was come to years refused to be called the son of pharaohs daughter choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season…” After seeing the invisible, the fourth way is, ‘Accept the mandate’. Galatians 1:15-16 says, “But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen…” God revealed his son in me so I can make him known through the preaching of the gospel.

There are those who never accept the mandate, they keep running away like Jonah (Jonah 1:1-3). They are trying not to hear God, they know God is saying I want you to preach for me, I want you in the ministry and they say, no, no, I am just a secretary in the fellowship, please don’t call me God. I am not the Pastor, no I will never be a preacher. How long are you going to run away from God’s call? How far can you run? Whatever God calls you to do is the best thing in life. Accept the mandate. When you accept the mandate, the next thing is, ‘Be filled with the Spirit’. There are those who have accepted the mandate, they know that God has called them to do, but they have ignored the Holy Spirit, the very one who can make them successful in what God has called them to do. Without the Holy Ghost you would be a failure in life. Without the Holy Ghost, you’ll live a frustrated life. Without the Holy Ghost all you can do is what men can do, but with the Holy Ghost all things are possible! Hallelujah!
